A Note to Our Customers:

Each week we hand-select fresh produce items and deliver them to your doorstep. We choose items based on what's in season and what's inspiring us to try something new that week. We've been in the produce business for 18 years, so we have a pretty good idea of what people are looking for and when! We also have a great selection of items and work with many local farmers who grow heirloom and unusual varieties of fruits and vegetables that you can't find in a grocery store. This is a great way to incorporate something new into your weekly menu.
Once you order, we'll email you a confirmation of your order and delivery day. Add Extras like eggs, local yogurt, milk, or pantry items, and we'll include them along with your Produce Box.
Order by 9:00am Monday each week for delivery Tuesday (Lancaster City only) or Thursday (Lancaster City and County within our delivery area--see map below to find out where we deliver).
*Please note: all orders placed after 4/9/20 will be charge a $3 delivery fee per delivery.
You choose where we deliver--to your home, office, wherever deliveries are accepted, within our service area (see map below). If someone can't be there to receive your delivery, tell us where we can safely and conveniently leave it for you. If the weather is not ideal (too hot, cold, or wet), we'll do our best to pack it so that it stays as fresh as possible until you get home. If you provide us with a phone number, we can call or text you as soon as we drop off so you'll know it's arrived.
You choose the frequency of when you'd like your delivery--we offer week-to-week and 4, 8, or 12 week packages. You can also skip deliveries for any reason. Just let us know by noon the Monday before your delivery day and we'll reschedule your next delivery. Need to make a substitution or have a special request? We'll do our very best to make sure you're fully satisfied with your purchase.
Home delivery service is great for people short on time, but it also reduces your carbon footprint (less driving from store to store!) and saves you money (our boxes are a great value, plus you'll save on gas, bus fare, parking, etc.). This is also a great option for busy families, those who are housebound, rely on public transportation, or just don't want to spend their weekends at the grocery store. But the best reason is ensuring that you have fresh, organic food on hand each week, to enhance your meals, health, and well being.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I'm not home to receive a delivery?
You don't need to be home to receive a delivery! When you place an order, you can tell us a specific location where you'd like us to deliver your box (front porch, back door, etc) in the Note to Seller section at checkout. Delivery times are typically between 1:30pm-5:30 pm Tuesday and 9:00am-5:30 pm Thursday, so if you know you won't be home during the day, we suggest leaving out an insulated cooler for us in warmer weather to keep your items at their freshest. When ordering perishable items like dairy or frozen meats, we will provide ice packs and/or an insulated box to help keep your items cool. Or, in the event of extreme heat or cold, we'd be happy to deliver to your office or a neighbor's house if you prefer. Please note that we we will do our best to keep your items fresh and dry, but cannot assume responsibility for items damaged due to weather or other natural causes, or damage due to causes that are out of our control. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
What if I need to change delivery locations at the last minute?
Kindly contact us 24 hours before your delivery day so that we can fit any changes into our route.
Can you give me a specific delivery time?
Unfortunately, because the volume of deliveries may change from week to week, we are unable to deliver at a specific time. But we can give you a delivery window and can generally honor requests. Typically, deliveries occur Tuesday afternoons and evenings between 1:30-5:30 pm, and Thursdays between 9:00am-5pm. We can also text or call you when we've dropped off so that you know that your box has arrived if requested.
What day(s) do you deliver?
At this time, we deliver Tuesdays to Lancaster City, and Thursdays to Lancaster City and County within our delivery area. Occasionally, we can deliver on other days of the week, depending on location and product availability. If you need your order delivered on a different day, just ask and we'll see what we can do!
Do I need to order a Produce Box? Can I just order items from your "Extras" menu?
Yes, however our home delivery starts at the price of our lowest priced Produce Box ($26). Starting 4/9/20, we will be initiating a $3 delivery fuel charge fee to each order.
What if I don't like or am allergic to a particular item in a box?
Our selection in our Produce Boxes changes from week to week, and we try to pick items that are fresh and interesting but will appeal to the widest variety of tastes. However, we understand if you just don't like mushrooms or are allergic to strawberries. If there is an item in any of of our boxes that you need to swap out, please let us know in the Note to Seller section of your order form. You can check our In Season Now page to see what else may be available, and make requests. We make substitutions for similarly priced items at our discretion.
What if I need to cancel my order?
We understand that things come up. Just email us within 24 hours of your delivery day and we'll issue you a credit that you can use to a future purchase.
Can I skip a week (or more) if I sign up for a 4 or 8 week delivery schedule?
Absolutely! Just email us 24 hours before your delivery day and we'll hold off on delivering that week. We will automatically assume you'd like a delivery the following week, unless you tell us--then just name the day and we'll begin delivering again when it's convenient for you.
Will you reuse bags/boxes?
Yes! Our boxes are recycled, and we're happy to take them back and use them again! Just leave your box out the morning of your delivery and we'll reuse it the next time (or we'll substitute another suitable, sturdy box or bag if you forget). We also take back ice packs, paper pint & quart boxes, clean produce bags, and egg cartons!
What if an item in my box is damaged?
We want you to be absolutely satisfied with your purchase. If any items arrive damaged, please let us know and we'll credit you right away.
What if certain items in my box become unavailable?
While we will do everything possible to keep items listed in stock, fresh produce is often at the fate of changing weather patterns, blights, bugs, droughts and unforeseen freezes--not to mention accidental over predictions from farmers and suppliers and human error. If for some reason an item becomes unavailable, we'll work with you to find a suitable replacement. We'll send you an email before your delivery day with a list of available substitutions. We have a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to choose from, so we're confident we'll find something you'll like!
What about delays due to inclement weather?
If we need to reschedule a delivery due to inclement weather, we will contact you via email or by phone the day before your scheduled delivery date to work with you to find another day to get your box to you.
Can you ship items out of your local (Lancaster, PA) delivery area?
Sorry, no, we cannot ship refrigerated or frozen items at this time. There are also weight restrictions on what we can and can't ship simply due to the cost of shipping heavy items.
